Sustainable AI Workshop in Silicon Valley
Date: Saturday, January 25 from 1pm-3pm
Location: BASIS Independent Silicon Valley Upper School in San Jose, CA.
In this 2-hour workshop, students will dive deep into the intersection of 2 cutting-edge areas of innovation: AI and sustainability. They'll build ML models, estimate their computer's energy usage, and more!
ZERO prior coding experience required.

Riya Mittal
Founder & CEO
Riya Mittal is a software engineer who aims to further sustainable technology development through educating the next generation. She's worked on Machine Learning at Uber and IoT at Cisco, and was a founding engineer for a fintech startup and web3 startup before founding ecotechlab. She's currently finishing her B.S. in Computer Science at UT Austin virtually from the Bay Area as well as pursuing a certificate in Sustainability at MIT.

Rish Ghatikar
Curriculum Advisor
Rish Ghatikar is a leader in sustainable energy, dedicated to decarbonizing our world. He has a distinguished career at institutions like the U.S. Department of Energy's Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, the Electric Power Research Institute, and General Motors. As a visiting professor at the University of Southern Denmark, Rish inspires future energy leaders, showcasing his passion for education.
